This is a pictureless post, and a short one, but too long to fit on twitter which is why it's going here instead, because it is too remarkable not to share. Last night we were getting ready to go for a walk and this is my conversation with Jack:
Jack: I bring a choo-choo
Me: You only want to bring one?
Jack: No, four choo-choos.
Me: Oh that's going to be too hard to carry. Let's just bring one.
Jack: No, two choo-choos.
Me: Okay, two is good, that's one for each hand.
(And then, are you ready for this...?)
Jack: No, four choo-choos, two for each hand.
My two-year-old just did division!

Wow, that is pretty impressive. And to think, I was just really impressed with Ava today when she told me, "Wow, it's hot in here." (Because that's a big sentence for her - and because I don't usually hear her making observations about the weather.)
or multiplication....and I have seen him successfully carry four of his bathtub animals around at once.
