She's a happy girl. She seems so old all of a sudden. She's holding herself up a lot better, not so wobbly or floppy. Sitting up on her own is probably not too far around the corner.
Meanwhile, Jack is starting to do a great job of entertaining himself.
He put this train track together all by himself. Or, if not this one, one just like it. And this morning for the first time, I came out and found him playing quietly all by himself. Sadie was extra sleepy for some reason, and he must've realized we were still sleeping and decided to just let us sleep. What an amazing gift! Does this mean I'm just 2 years away from being able to sleep in again? I thanked him and told him he was such a big boy and he just laughed and said "Yeah!"
And as long as I'm on the topic of things I'm proud of:
This is an egg from one of our chickens (bottom), compared to a Marin Sun Farms egg (top). MSF eggs are not your run-of-the-mill grocery store egg, they are from pastured chickens and go for $7 a dozen. They are delicious. But ours are better.

Cute pictures. So Jack has become a train guy; he and Thomas will really enjoy each other this August. And what a yolk! It must be double the size of the caged hens.
That is, double the size the caged hens lay!
What are the yolks laying on? It looks like those little styrofoam balls - but that can't be right? Right?
Tapioca. :) An irreplaceable staple in our household.
