We took our first family roadtrip today, down to San Jose to see Nana. ("Uncle Peetah, too?" Jack asked hopefully, but alas Uncle Peter was out fishing.) We spent the whole day down there, I'm not quite sure where it went. I guess we didn't make it down until lunchtime (we're still learning about how to make it out of the house with two kids, when you finally get one ready and they other one poops herself and/or the other one's ready and the first one runs screaming in the other direction...), and then there was a big fat nap for all of us in the middle of the day, and then suddenly Nana was fixing dinner. Days just seem to fly by like this right now. Eat, sleep, eat again. Then it's almost time to sleep again!
We did manage to pack some good play time and snuggle time into the day, though.

I think we might have worn Nana out. We certainly wore mommy and daddy out. Sadie was the most awake she's been in her life, though, I guess Jack's excitement at seeing his nana is contagious. We look forward to many more visits, as soon as I can figure out how to get two kids out of the house by myself. So maybe in a month.
