Advent
Jack has a little house with doors and windows he gets to open every day until Christmas. He loves it. I remember loving advent calendars that my aunt sent me while we were growing up, and I didn't even really know what they were for, just that they had chocolate inside and that was good enough. Jack's doesn't have chocolate, but little porcelain animals his grandma Melissa gave him. Even better.

What a cool idea -- and animals to boot. The Lego advent calendar that you sent the M boys is also fantastic, and I see them enjoying it each time I am at their house. They almost have the whole scene assembled now.
