I'm guessing that the arrow on the picture is pointing to the lack of the "third leg" or are those the labia? Some of us are not so good at reading these ultrasounds. Glad you told me! I'm anxious to meet her.
They look for a distinctive mark: three white lines usually indicates female. If these three lines aren't visable, it either means it's a boy (and you can usually see boy parts), or the umbilical cord is in the way and further investigation is needed before gender can be announced.
