Jack went to a wedding today and was pretty much the life of the party. At least until he went to go to sleep at the cottage the bride and groom had rented (and stocked with an on-demand babysitter-- best wedding favor ever!) at 7:30 pm. But until then, he danced the night away, stuffed his face with hors d'oeuvres, threw rocks into the reflecting pool/irrigation canal, and generally endeared himself to everyone. He liked the parts of the ceremony with music, but could've done without the rest of it, and unfortunately let that be known rather loudly, so very quickly had to go hang out off to the side with all the other little kids. That suited him just fine. There were more rocks to throw into the reflecting pool/irrigation canal anyway. And plenty of running around to do.

And after the ceremony there was more music, which made Jack very happy! He is mommy's favorite dance partner (under 30).

He likes dancing with daddy too, but gets so excited and starts jumping around so fast it's hard to capture on an i-phone camera.

But somehow the distortion adds to the feeling of how much fun he was having. You can tell what a mom I am now, I went to a wedding and didn't take a single picture of anything other than my kid. I used to take photos of the bride and groom. But I guess I figured they had professionals to take care of that, so I would point my camera instead where the silliness was happening, and that is always in Jack's direction.
