birthday girl

I forgot to include this and I want to remember it when I look back on these years, so that I know my entire life wasn't subsumed by dissertation from  April 5 to May 15. I have the best girl friends, and they took me out for my birthday on a beautiful evening at Lake Merritt and out on the town in Oakland.  Don't they look like fun? Don't they look like radical amazing inspiration women? They are.
