Will the real slim Sadie please stand up?

Oy. Forgive me for that title, I couldn't resist. Jack has been on a pretending-to-be-Sadie jag lately, and we often have two Sadies at the dinner table, in the tub, or going to bed. We seem to have arrived at a tacit agreement that Jack as Sadie doesn't have to go to bed as early as the real Sadie, and in return Jack as Sadie will continue to poo and pee in the potty instead of a diaper. Frankly, as long as that part doesn't regress, I don't care if he wants to babble and shriek and stuff toys in his mouth.

But Sadie has recently learned a new trick that makes it easier for Jack to pretend to be Sadie. Easier on his knees, anyway.

Sadie's standing up! And that expression in the photo on the left is my new favorite thing that she does. When she does something that surprises herself, like successfully pulling herself up or finally grabbing onto something she's been reaching for, she does this great open-mouth gape, like "wow!" It's fantastic.

Oh my goodness, first crawling and now standing up. She's growing up too fast. And where did all that golden hair come from on the child I thought was a brunette?
