Two days, three men, four walls, a floor, a roof, a window, and a door. Pretty impressive.
I'd like to think that gender roles are not so strict these days, especially around these parts, but when it comes to construction projects, I'm afraid my contribution is mostly making sandwiches and keeping the kids out of the way. And I didn't even do that very well. Jack wanted in on that action.
No rest for the weary, my poor parents headed straight from this project to San Jose, where they participated in the demolition of my grandma's kitchen counter.
I promise to do this for you someday, mom and dad. I wish this visit was longer and/or involved more playing and less working (for you at least), but I'm glad the kids got to spend some more time with their grandparents, since the Minnesota time was sort of eclipsed by the cousins.

Pete looks awesome in safety glasses. Dad looks annoyed in the last picture. Your shed looks fabulous. Can we get some "after" pictures of Grandma's kitchen? For those of us who only visit once a year? Please?
Good luck on all your interviews!
Hey, can you send me the large version of the one of Dad and Jack up in the shed? It's fabulous! I'd like to print it for him.
